The history of Monahan’s

Monahan’s has had many purposes over the last several decades. Originally owned by Joseph Monahan, it has functioned as a gas station, restaurant, clam shack, and dairy bar.

Today Monahan’s Restaurant maintains its location on the famed Narragansett seawall, along with our newest location in Charlestown. Come and enjoy our classic Rhode Island land lover’s and seashore seafood with the original owners from long ago.
